Dear reader!
With this photo project, I would like to introduce you to Ukraine. The way I remember her. Before the war with Russia. Now, in 2022, unfortunately, we see more footage of the monstrous destruction and loss of life that the manic Putin regime brought to Ukrainian soil. Ukraine will win this war for Independence, for the right to independently determine its own destiny. The country will rebuild. And it has a future in the European Union.
I hope that the time will soon come when those wishing to visit Ukraine will be able to fulfill their desire. But you can always make a virtual trip around Ukraine on my website. For some, this is an opportunity to prepare for a real trip in the future.
About the author
I was born in Chernobyl in 1971. Left my hometown as a school student after the Chernobyl disaster. Graduated from Vinnitsa Technical University. Worked as a programmer in a bank in Vinnitsa, while simultaneously teaching at a banking college. Wrote for Kyiv business newspapers, which later influenced my move to Kyiv to work and become a business journalist on banking and financial issues. I settled in Irpin, a suburb of Kyiv. After the Russian shelling of Irpin in February 2022, I returned to Vinnitsa, where my relatives live.
I’ve been travelling a lot, and have been working for the last few years on my own travel photo projects under the general brand name Guides.one.
